El Espectador, the oldest and one of the major newspapers in Colombia, highlighted TaskUs’s recent expansion to Cali in its August 30 print issue.

Cali and the Valle del Cauca region have a digital economy cluster made up of more than 735 companies. And one of the biggest investment and employment drivers is the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry.

“Colombia has become the hotspot for outsourcing operations. We have access to both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and a population of over 50 million people. Bilingualism is growing and Colombia features a more neutral form of Spanish compared to other countries in Latin America,” said Guillermo Ulloa, Vice President of Operations at TaskUs Colombia, in the interview with El Espectador

Cali, Colombia, in particular, is the hidden gem of Colombia’s BPO industry primarily because of its strong economic development. TaskUs’s arrival in Cali is a testament to the company’s mission to make a positive impact on the best brands in the world, as well as to further improve the landscape of customer experience globally.

“The culture of hospitality and kindness of Cali comes naturally from its people and this blends in the culture that TaskUs has always had and what is needed in the service industry,” Ulloa said.
