CALI, Colombia (March 27, 2022) — TaskUs (Nasdaq: TASK), a global provider of outsourced digital services and next-generation customer experience to innovative and disruptive companies, is celebrating its first year of operations in Colombia with the opening of its physical office in Cali. The company started its operations in the city in March 2021 on a purely Work@Home setup.
TaskUs is set to unveil its Cali office called “The Arena,” which is inspired by the Caleños’ world-famous passion and enthusiasm for sports, within the first half of the year. The Arena is designed to stimulate, inspire, and embolden the minds of teammates, all while working hard and having fun. TaskUs has been known for its agile and collaborative work environments across all of its locations globally. The Arena will feature the same world-class workspaces, including recreational areas such as a gym, a cafe, meditation rooms, and game rooms.

In its first year of operations, TaskUs has become a key yet disruptive player in the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector in Colombia through its people-first culture and employee benefits and perks. TaskUs, with its fresh initiatives, has taken a people-focused approach by giving all employees, regardless of position, access to medicina prepagada, dental plans, and life insurance—all with 100% coverage. Each employee can also enlist two beneficiaries who are eligible for up to 50% coverage of the same benefits.
In May 2021, TaskUs launched its program called “The Art of Fluency: The TaskUs Language Academy,” a free virtual program offered to those interested in improving their command of English and are interesting in working in the customer service and care industry. The Language Academy has so far been extended to 11 batches of trainees, and TaskUs has employed multiple young Caleños who have improved their English proficiency through the program.

As part of the company’s commitment to local growth and development, TaskUs has also taken an active participation in the city’s social initiatives. In October 2021, TaskUs volunteers restored one of the city’s most iconic landmarks—the Club San Fernando.
TaskUs also joined the Cali Fair last December. The company participated in the Salsódromo Parade, the Desfile de Autos Clásicos y Antiguos (Parade of Classic and Vintage Vehicles), and the Carnaval de Cali Viejo (Old Cali Carnival).

The company also has plans to increase the number of its Language Academy trainers to accommodate more participants and help develop more job-ready talents capable of providing excellent customer service to international clients.
