TaskUs' Co-Founder and President Jaspar Weir told the Daily Tribune that there is an industry trend of client preference shifting to Filipino outsourcing agents.

“We are seeing clients outsource new functions for the first time that they previously thought they would outsource. We are also seeing continued interest in shifting and geographic footprints among our clients, with the Philippines and India leading the way from low-cost destinations where these clients can get good quality work done. The Philippines and India will benefit on these tracks,” said Weir.

According to figures cited by the Daily Tribune, the outsourcing industry in the Philippines currently holds up to 15% of the global market, employs an estimated 1.3 million Filipinos, and contributes nearly $30 billion to the local economy yearly.

Weir also said that TaskUs continues to expand its service offerings in Digital Customer Experience, AI Services, Trust & Safety, Learning Experience, Consulting, and Risk + Response, and the Philippines remains to be the premiere place for the company to get this work done.
