El País acknowledges TaskUs’s employment efforts in Valle del Cauca, Colombia

El País, a major newspaper in Cali and the southwestern region of Colombia, highlights TaskUs for providing career opportunities in the region with its recent expansion.

In the last 10 years, Cali has seen 59 international business projects in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and tech sectors, generating investments exceeding $38 million and 8,900 direct and formal jobs.

“TaskUs chose Cali, the country’s third-largest city, for its abundance of human talent and innovative technology landscape,” Vice President of Operations at TaskUs Colombia Guillermo Ulloa said in the interview with El País. “It is the hidden gem of Colombia’s BPO industry primarily because of its strong economic development.”

Ulloa added that TaskUs’s expansion to Cali represents a continuation of its mission to serve and help clients, which also means more talent development and social contribution. 

"We want to develop the talent of Cali's people and encourage them to develop their skills with our unique transformational growth approach. We are excited to offer more and new employment opportunities, and to take advantage of Cali's highly educated and bilingual workforce," said Ulloa.
