In an episode of the Why Colombia podcast, Luis Barreto, VP of Operations for TaskUs Latin America, explores the country’s emergence as a strategic location for high-growth industries like fintech, gaming and food delivery.
TaskUs has achieved rapid growth in the country, expanding to six offices across Cali, Medellín and Barranquilla since 2019.
“Colombia remains one of the most important countries in Latin America because of scalability, price and quality of service,” Luis explains.
In addition to these operational benefits, the company is embracing AI to help teammates be more efficient and solve more intricate problems.
“Every human interaction will be potentiated by some type of AI,” he says, “while basic labor is changing, complex labor is being created.” The company invests in training to ensure talent thrives in this new landscape.
