Content moderation is vital to ensure digital safety, but the work puts employees at high risk for psychological distress and trauma.

As part of the research topic, “Psychological Health in the Digital Age across Global Communities,” TaskUs’ Wellness & Resiliency Division of Research conducted a study to evaluate how resilience training influences long-term moderator well-being.

Over 18 months, our team tracked 311 moderators who underwent The TaskUs Method 2.0 program and measured secondary traumatic stress, perceived stress, resilience, burnout and compassion satisfaction levels across three distinct timepoints.

The findings revealed that program participants maintained stable scores over time, proving that evidence-based intervention programs effectively mitigate the work’s impact on moderator health.
