Published on September 21, 2019

MANILA, Philippines (September 21, 2019) -- From finding purpose in the world to sudden mental breakdowns and keeping their social media images curated, millennials are under immense pressure to have it all together. But what happens when the challenges of ‘adulting’ become too much to bear?

CX company TaskUs celebrates life, friendship, and the complexities in between in the second season of its original web series Lunch Break. Starring Kapamilya star Khalil Ramos and Kapuso comedienne Divine, the series premieres this September 2019.

Lunch Break is set in TaskUs House Teamwork’s kaleidoscope-themed workplace located at the heart of Clark, Pampanga. The office features Silicon Valley-inspired facilities, which include an Instagrammable recreation area, fully-equipped gym with sauna, daycare center, and a 24/7 pantry with subsidized nutritionist-planned meals.

Inspired by stories of “Filennial” professionals, the series revolves around the lives of seven workmates-turned-friends who become each other’s support system through conversations built around their usual lunch table.

Painful childhood experiences shaped August (Khalil) to become driven and passionate about his career. Hesitant to invest in relationships, he is mistaken for being controlling, quick-tempered and not easily impressed by others. Is it purely just work for August or is there a reason behind the well-disciplined life he has been relentlessly working hard to build?

Meanwhile, life coach and mental health advocate Divine (Divine) is the glue that keeps everyone together. She devotes herself to people and always offers a hand to those in need. Trying to always keep herself together, she takes everything in and strives to find a balance between work and friends. But what happens when her own battles become too crippling? Will Divine allow herself to be vulnerable?

Their journey through self-discovery will challenge their emotional intelligence and force them to reassess themselves. Will they come out as better individuals or will they remain stuck in between?
