Anti-Modern Slavery Statement for TaskUs UK
According to estimates by the International Labour Organisation, 50 million people around the world are in a form of modern slavery, including 28 million people in forced labour. We do not tolerate modern slavery either within our business or within our supply chains. We expect our supply chain (whether direct suppliers or those that directly or indirectly supply our direct suppliers) to share the same values.

As such, we present an opportunity to make a diversified investment in the growth of the Digital Economy. We have reviewed our business and our supply chain. Neither we nor, to the best of our knowledge, our supply chain make use of modern slavery. We are, however, not complacent about this issue which we will have in the forefront of our mind when engaging with suppliers moving forward. Our Policies and Procedures

We have appropriate policies in place that underpin our commitment to ensure that there is no modern slavery in our supply chains or in any part of our business. We continuously review and update all our policies.

We have adopted a modern slavery policy i.e., TaskUs Anti-Human Trafficking and Slavery Policy which rejects the use of modern slavery and a Supplier Code of Conduct which all our suppliers must strictly comply with. These policies are made available in our website’s landing page to manifest our drive to reject and combat modern slavery.

Suspected violations of laws or policy can also be reported via our Whistleblower Policy, allowing us a means to identify and investigate issues raised.

Communication and Awareness

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery in our supply chains and our business, we have incorporated this into our policy—specifically, the Supplier Code of Conduct. This is a mandatory policy that our partners are required to adhere to. It forms part of our accreditation process and is incorporated into our legal documents for engagements, including contracts and purchase terms & conditions.

To further maintain awareness and ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery, we commit to:

  • Publish the relevant policy(ies) on our website;
  • Provide training on the relevant policy(ies) and the risk that our business faces from modern slavery to employees at induction, and on a periodic basis as necessary thereafter; and
  • Communicate the relevant policy(ies) to all those working for us or on our behalf in any capacity at the outset of the business relationship, reinforcing our expectations as appropriate thereafter.
Working with our Suppliers
TaskUs does not tolerate modern slavery. We are fully committed to taking actions to ensure that this unlawful practice does not occur in our operations and supply chain. We fully avoid any activity, practice or conduct that might lead to, or constitute, modern slavery within the organization including in our supply chain. This approach contains the following elements:
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations wherever we operate;
  • Raise any concerns and report any actual or suspected modern slavery to TaskUs’ Legal Team, a supervisor or manager, the HR Team, or TaskUs Integrity Line;
  • Commit to investigate and assess the risk of modern slavery in our business and in relation to our suppliers and other business partners; and
  • Adopt appropriate due diligence in relation to our business and suppliers and other business partners to ensure they have in place ethical employment practices that comply with all relevant legislation including, where applicable, local laws on antislavery.
We expect our suppliers to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct and to place similar expectations on their respective suppliers. When entering into arrangements with suppliers, suppliers undergo a supplier approval process in which we assess them from a qualitative and economic perspective. As part of that assessment, we are alert for any indicators of modern slavery. We impose contractual obligations on suppliers under which they:
  • undertake to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct at the commencement of the accreditation process;
  • warrant that their business and, to the best of their knowledge, their own supply chain do not use modern slavery practices;
  • impose equivalent obligations on their own suppliers.
We have reviewed statements published by our suppliers on modern slavery to ensure that they in turn are taking what appears to us to be appropriate steps. We have prepared this statement pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and it constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 2024. References in the statement to “modern slavery” mean any conduct which is an offence under Part I of that Act including slavery, servitude, any type of forced or compulsory labour and trafficking for the purposes of exploitation.
