TaskUs Paints Panamericano Bridge in Mexico to Welcome Employees Back to Office

Published on May 12, 2022
TaskUs has prepared a visual surprise for employees and locals alike as they gradually return to the office already.

As the number of fully vaccinated people grows and the number of active COVID-19 cases decreases worldwide, national governments in many parts of the world, including Mexico, are reopening and reinvigorating their economies. With this development, businesses have been cleaning up their physical offices in preparation for their employees’ return.

TaskUs, a provider of outsourced digital services and next-generation customer experience to innovative and disruptive companies, is also getting ready to welcome employees back on-site. True to its “Be Ridiculous” core value, TaskUs has prepared a visual surprise for employees and locals alike.

In partnership with local artist Omar Moctezuma, TaskUs gave the Panamericano Bridge in Tijuana a new, refreshing look. The said bridge is located just 15 meters away from TaskUs' site, The Oasis. Moctezuma is a known mural painter, beautifying damaged infrastructure around Mexico.

The mural reflects TaskUs’ Ridiculously Good workplace environment and people-first culture as well as Tijuana's diverse and eccentric community.

The bridge now boasts vibrant, colorful images that depict TaskUs’ Ridiculously Good workplace environment and people-first culture. It also reflects the diverse community that Tijuana is known for all around the world. This was part of the city’s project called “Pinta Tu Barrio” or (Paint Your Neighborhood), which aims to improve certain areas of the city by means of restoration and beautification, among others.

“The culture of Tijuana is very diverse and eccentric, which is made evident by the mushrooming of new cafes, malls, and the rapid development of the city. Tijuana is also home to people from all over the world, given its geographical location,” said Porfirio Diaz, TaskUs’ Vice President of Operations in Mexico. “TaskUs is situated in a city that mirrors its own company culture and values. This mural shows us exactly that.”

“I was very excited to work with TaskUs for this project because their values were aligned with mine. Both parties just simply wanted to contribute to putting more colors and vibrance in this very rich community, and to be part of that purpose is extremely fulfilling for an artist like me,” said Moctezuma.

The Oasis sits on a 33,545-square-foot commercial space that can accommodate up to 650 people. Similar to TaskUs’ other global offices, the site is fully equipped with world-class amenities like recreational rooms, indoor and outdoor pantries, and gaming lounges for teammates to enjoy. With employee health and safety remaining a top priority, TaskUs is expecting to bring only 70% of its employees back to The Oasis by May 2022.
