TaskUs Major Press Mentions and Articles Recap

Summer is off to a sizzling start at TaskUs!  We're thrilled to have received several major press mentions over the past 3 months.  We're extraordinarily proud of what our entire team has accomplished together that has sparked such prominent media attention.

For those behind on the latest TaskUs press mentions - don't worry.  We've got a recap right here!

1. TIME
TIME magazine featured TaskUs on April 7, 2016, in its article about the Filipino presidential race.  That's not shabby for a startup headquartered in Santa Monica, California!

Senator Grace Poe, 48 - one of the Philippines' presidential candidates this election season - "wants to attract more entrepreneurs like [TaskUs CEO] Bryce Maddock," as part of her initiative to generate more jobs, according to Time.

2. BBC News

On May 5, 2016, TaskUs was featured in a BBC News story that focused on Filipino women and how the economy impacts their lives.

The BBC reported, "at least 10% of the country's population live and work overseas".  These workers send money - remittance - back home to support the families that they left behind in order for everyone to survive.

TaskUs is playing a big part in keeping families together as part of the BPO industry that has created millions of jobs in the country.

3. Inc.

CEO Bryce Maddock and President Jaspar Weir - TaskUs' co-founders - found out on May 24, 2016, that they had been selected by Inc. magazine for inclusion into its annual 30 Under 30 list of young entrepreneurs.

In their final year of eligibility, Bryce and Jaspar were selected by a panel of independent judges from a competitive pool of 500 worthy applicants.

On June 1, Inc. Magazine informed TaskUs that it had won the 30 Under 30 Readers' Choice award.  TaskUs received the most votes - 27% of the total - from a vote on Inc.'s Facebook page.

4. The Wall Street Journal

TaskUs' highly differentiated Filipino offices and how they help us to minimize employee attrition is the focus of a very informative and cool video from The Wall Street Journal, called, "Turning a Call Center Into a Cool Tech Start-Up".  It was published to its site on June 21, 2016.

In a companion article also published on June 21, 2016, titled, "Robots on Track to Bump Humans from Call-Center Jobs," published by The Wall Street Journal, TaskUs' thought leadership, Silicon Valley-inspired Manila offices, and CEO Bryce Maddock are heavily featured in both the story and the 3-minute long feature video that accompanies the piece.

In the article, Bryce informs readers about the evolution of the BPO industry in the Philippines and TaskUs' place within it.  He envisions the company moving forward into the future by incorporating higher value services via transformational technology that will "‘un-call center' the call center".
