SANTA MONICA, Calif. - September 8, 2016 - TaskUs announced the strategic hiring of three new members to its executive ranks this morning: Chief Financial Officer Balaji Sekar, Chief Information Officer Christopher McLaughlin-Brooks and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Lital Gilad-Shaoulian. Each represents a strong commitment by TaskUs’ executive team to meet the challenges of an organization experiencing transformational growth and to serve its customers with excellence, professionalism and thought leadership.
TaskUs hired Sekar as its first-ever chief financial officer. He brings 18 years of finance and accounting experience – across three continents – to his new role on its executive team. As CFO, Sekar leads and manages all aspects of finance, accounting and reporting.
Previously, Sekar held senior finance leadership roles at Sutherland Global Services, Sutherland Healthcare Solutions, and most recently at PatientSafe Solutions.
He is an MBA (Finance and Strategy concentrations) graduate of the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. A native of India, Sekar has mastered seven languages, a skillset sure to be utilized at TaskUs that operates globally across three continents.
McLaughlin-Brooks joins TaskUs with more than 20 years of IT experience in the technology and retail services sectors. At TaskUs, he leads technology strategy, IT-related management, security initiatives and implementation of information technology initiatives. Since his commencement, he has reinforced TaskUs’ IT security systems and has achieved PCI compliance on three of TaskUs’ facilities. His instinctive ability to communicate even the most complex subjects into easily digestible, conversational bites with a sense of humor has endeared him quickly to his new colleagues.
In his most recent role, he gained significant experience as YapStone’s senior vice president of engineering and operations. Before that engagement, McLaughlin-Brooks held senior IT leadership positions for Parallels, Business Objects and Yahoo!. He is a graduate of the University of London with degrees in computer science and foreign languages.
Gilad-Shaoulian will draw on over 17 years of management experience now that she has assumed the executive leadership reins for TaskUs’ Marketing and Sales departments. Armed with her extensive insight into both functions, and her rigorous and inspiring communication style, she leads the marketing and sales teams’ transformation into best-in-class, global warriors of excellence.
Before joining TaskUs, Gilad-Shaoulian worked at LivePerson in New York City as its vice president, head of sales for its Global Strategic Accounts Group. Gilad-Shaoulian led the group’s revenue from both new sales and existing accounts to deliver LivePerson’s market leading Digital Engagement SaaS solutions, to the top Fortune 100 companies.
Gilad-Shaoulian previously headed up EMEA Sales for NICE Systems’ Cross Channel Analytics Sales. She brings extensive Sales, Strategy and Marketing experience from leading global software providers to the contact center, in the Customer Experience field. Gilad-Shaoulian is introducing a new strategic direction for TaskUs, combining innovation and technology with the TaskUs solution offering.
She is a native of Israel where she served as an Intelligence Sergeant for its Defense Intelligence Force. She holds a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) degree from Shearey Mishpat – Bar Ilan University Affiliate in her native country, as well as an MBA in International Marketing & Global Financial Markets from the University of London.
